Let’s talk about something every new parent faces but few are truly prepared for: rashes.

They’re common. They’re painful. And they make both baby and mama feel helpless.

But let me share a little secret my japa didi (thank you, Geeta di!) passed on to me. It saved Rudransh (and me) from a whole lot of tears and guilt. And honestly, it made those early months so much smoother.

Because trust me, I had more than eight different brands of wipes lined up. The ones that promise no alcohol, 99% water, extra soft, dermatologically tested, you name it. But here’s the truth: even the best of them are way too harsh for a newborn’s delicate skin.

And yes, there are a hundred remedies online for rashes: creams, powders, ointments. But Geeta di said something that stuck with me:

Bhabhi, ye shona ko baad mein cream davai lagane se acha hai, aap isse he saaf karo iski potty shuru ke 3-4 mahine, isko ye dikkat he nahi hogi.

She was right. Prevention is everything. So here’s the step-by-step guide to making Coconut Cotton Wipes. A gentle, homemade solution to keep rashes away before they even begin.

Coconut Cotton Wipes: A Mama-Made Shield

🌡️ Step 1: Prepare Lukewarm Water

Not for baby’s skin but to help the coconut oil mix evenly. Warm water makes the magic happen.

🥥 Step 2: Add Coconut Oil

Take a clean container and add 2 tablespoons of cold-pressed coconut oil. This is your soothing base. I used Little rituals, but you can use any cold pressed coconut oil https://amzn.to/4oca1s4

🧻 Step 3: Cut Cotton Square

Take cotton balls and cut them into soft, square pieces. Think fluffy clouds, gentle and absorbent.

🧺 Step 4: Fill the Container

Drop the cotton squares into the container. Let them soak up all that coconut goodness till the top.

🎉 And That’s It!

Your Coconut Cotton Wipes for Diaper rash prevention are ready. Use them during every diaper change, especially in the first few months when baby’s skin is most sensitive.

This isn’t a cure, it’s a shield. A soft, loving shield that protects your baby from the pain of rashes. Keep them ready, use them often, and share this with other new moms. Because we all deserve a little less worry and a lot more comfort.

✨ Bonus Tip:

After wiping, I use a tiny dab of Sudo cream on the bum. Just a little. It worked wonders for Rudransh and gave me peace of mind. This can be easily found in any medical store, also sharing an amazon link for same. https://amzn.to/48kM9Oi I hope the baby and you both remain happy and healthy. Love, Rashi
