My husband and I are the kind of people who start planning our next trip while returning from the current one. So honestly, it was only a matter of time before our little one joined the travel clan. Sure, travelling with a baby means ten times more planning, packing, prepping, and praying but it has its own dreamy charm too.
But today’s blog is not about how to travel with a baby. No tips, no hacks, no diaper-list, no snack-checklist.
This one is about a moment — a tiny, beautiful moment and how we turned it into a memory we’ll cherish forever.
The Plan: Indore Calling 💛
We had already done a couple of road trips with our baby, but his first-ever flight was a special one. My husband was in Indore for a project, so we decided to spend a few days with him, explore beautiful Madhya Pradesh, and seek blessings at Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga.
So, there we were, all set to fly from New Delhi to Indore on Air India (flight no 636) on 20 Feb 2025. ✔️ Packed bags
✔️ Baby essentials
✔️ Snacks
✔️ Extra clothes
And tucked carefully inside my bag…a super special little surprise that would make the trip unforgettable.
Up in the Air: A Ride of a Lifetime
The flight took off and let me tell you, it was a ride we will never forget. (Story coming soon in another blog because oh boy, it deserves its own space!)
Once we landed safely in Indore, it was time for the highlight of our journey.
The Sweetest Souvenir: Baby's First Flight Certificate
Before de-boarding, I took out the “First Fly Certificate” we had carried. The lovely Air India crew and Captain Shitij Devani were absolute gems.
Not only did they sign the certificate with so much love, but they also even took little Rudransh inside the cockpit!
He stared at the buttons, switches, and colorful lights like he had entered a magical world. His eyes were sparkling, his smile was wide, and his excitement was sky-high. Quiet literally!
And when they all signed his certificate, it felt like they were signing a tiny piece of his childhood that we would get to keep forever.
One day, when he grows up, I know he’ll look at that certificate and say, "This is the day I touched the clouds.”
And my heart already melts at the thought.

A Tiny Tip for Every Mom
When you’re flying with your little one for the very first time, carry a cute 'First Flight Certificate' with you. The crew is always happy to sign it, click a picture, or make the moment special.
You can use a cute template I created for my friends ❤️
Trust me, mumma, years from now, you’ll stumble upon it while cleaning a drawer, or showing childhood memories to your baby, and your heart will just smile.
Because some memories? They’re too precious to leave behind.
Love, Rashi
