If there’s one thing every mom believes in, it is the healing power of her touch. Especially when your baby is sick. Those tiny sneezes, the restless nights, the blocked nose... it all breaks your heart a little. And that is exactly when a warm maalish becomes our secret weapon. Not just for comfort but for steady recovery too.
During the winter season, this becomes even more important. The right oil makes all the difference because their body needs extra warmth and care. Today I am sharing the one massage oil that has been a total lifesaver for me during cold and cough. My mom taught me this and honestly, it has given instant relief to my baby every single time. You can use it even when your baby is not sick, just as a warming winter ritual, up to three times a week.
And the best part? It is so simple to make.
What You Need
200 grams mustard oil
2 teaspoons ajwain
5 garlic cloves

How to Make It
Step 1: Gently heat the mustard oil in a pan.

Step 2: Add the garlic cloves and ajwain to the warm oil.

Step 3: Let everything cook on low flame till the garlic turns slightly brown.

Step 4: Switch off the gas and let the oil cool down. Once cooled, strain the oil into a clean container.

Step 5: The massage oil is ready for the baby's use.

Make sure the oil is lukewarm before applying it to your baby. I massage it on the chest, back, and the soles of the feet. The warmth of mustard oil, combined with the comforting aroma of garlic and ajwain, works like magic. It helps open up the nose, eases congestion, and soothes your little one almost instantly.
This remedy has been passed down through generations and honestly, it deserves all the hype. It is simple, natural, and effective. So, prepare this oil, store it in a small bottle, and thank me later. Winter mums, this one is your new best friend.
Love,
Rashi
